El Miedo Al Exito Y Al Fracaso/ Fear of Success and Failure

Last week we talked about fear and courage. Today I speak about another kind of fear.
This fear is more subtle, but affects us equally, if not worst.  It is the fear of failure that goes hand in hand with the fear of success.

This may not make sense, because who is afraid of success? We all want to be successful. But the thing is that when we want to be successful there is a force that often slows us preventing us to go forward. What if I'm on my way to success and I fail? What if I succeed and when I'm on top I realize that I can’t continue what I started?

Fear of success is basically a fear of failure in disguise. Because if we don’t think that we can be successful, then there is no possibility of failure. We stay on dry land without spreading our wings to fly. If we never fly we can’t fall. But if we stay on the ground, we'll never see the wonders that this world has for us.

This fear is also a fear of rejection, fear to fight for someone who may never love us, because we don’t want to fail and we close ourselves. We close our hearts to the possibility of fully loving someone that we know is perfect for us simply because it appeared to us in the wrong package.

Things in life often make no sense. If you have a desire, fight for it. If you have a dream, fight for it. Spread your wings and try to fly, and if you don’t make it at first, keep practicing until you do.

People who are famous for 15 minutes prepared themselves 10 years for that moment.

There is no success without action, the fish that doesn’t swim dies.

Focusing is the most efficient way to achieve your goals, if you do not focus it will take you 20 years to do something that you could have achieved in 6 with focus.

Every day is a new opportunity to achieve your dreams. What do you most want to accomplish?

Focus, and start walking toward your dreams and keep in mind that there will be obstacles to overcome, and think that these obstacles are only there to make you think and re-evaluate your goals and see if that which you claim to want to achieve is really worthwhile . Is your desire so great that you are willing to move forward despite all the obstacles? Perhaps in the midst of your obstacles you realize that what you're fighting for is not worth it, and decide to change course. But perhaps every obstacle represents your determination and your desire to achieve this, no matter what tries to come in your way. It is then that you realize that what you are fighting, it's really worth it.

What are your dreams, your goals? Do you even care enough to fight for them?

Tell us your story.
