What Are You Willing To Lose If You Don’t Change?/¿Qué Estás Dispuesto A Perder Con Tal De No Cambiar?

What Are You Willing To Lose If You Don’t Change?

Are you willing or prepared to lose someone you love just because you choose not to mature, and prefer to stay in the same abyss where that person found you, after they help you get up off the floor and then teach you what love is?
Is it OK to stay with your hands crossed while you watch as your day to day is destroyed by attitudes and bad behavior, which both you and your partner do and don’t stop and things just keep getting worse because when you had the opportunity, you were not interested in doing anything about it, and now you want to do something and it’s too late because now you don’t care to move not even that wind that used to be strong enough to move full valleys just to see that person smile.
Those days when everything was happiness and joy don’t exist now and they seem like just a dream that one day came true, because hell is small compared to what you are living, bitterness and constant fighting is what you get up and go to bed with every day and you prefer to continue with your social and emotional instability not to recover what you are slowly losing.
It is hard to see how it all goes away right before your eyes, because you don’t want to be happy and just want to go living as an unstable person who only wants to believe that you are the one who is always right and those around you are the ones who are wrong.
Life is short and there is no time to lose crying and screaming, longing for those days when your relationship, and your life was wonderful and today all you have is constant fighting and sadness due to attitudes that you have adopted and don’t want change.
Don’t lose the more for the least because the least only plunges you into an abyss, while the more lifts you in the clouds like a free bird with its wings.

¿Qué Estás Dispuesto A Perder Con Tal De No Cambiar?

13 Things You Should NOT Do For Love/13 Cosas Que No Debes Hacer Por Amor

13 Things You Should NOT Do For Love

Many of us can say that sometimes we would do anything for love.

But when is it OK to do something for love, and when isn’t?

When you're in a relationship you often think that you would do anything for that person, but we should be very careful of what we do or don’t do for that person we claim to love.

Things we should NEVER Do for Love:

  1. When your partner Demands that you do something: Don’t do it. - And when I say not to do it, I don’t mean that you should do the opposite. For example if he DEMANDS that you be Loyal, I’m not saying that you should be unfaithful. What I mean is that you should only do whatever you feel comes out of your soul (for lack of a better word) not because you feel obligated because your partner is forcing you to do it. A partner that demands things from you, whatever it is, is not a partner who loves you well. Why do I say that? Because when you love you don’t demand things. One accepts or doesn’t accept, simple as that. There is nothing that I can think of that should be demanded of anyone. Think about it, if you think of something that you think would be OK to demand of someone put it in the comments and I will tell you what I think about it.
  2. -Push away Your family and friends - your family is there for you in good times and in bad, your friends have been there for you many times long before your partner. The family is sacred. Many times we make the mistake of isolating ourselves because our family doesn’t get along with our partner. But there are several things that make this be a red flag. Most of the time when your family and your partner don’t get along is because they see something your loving eyes don’t see. At other times it is because a manipulative and/or abusive partner makes their partner be away from their family and friends in order for the abuse not to be detected until it is too late. If you find yourself in this case looks for signs of abuse in your partner and be honest with yourself. A partner who is good, although not accepted in the family, will seek to maintain the closeness with their partner and their family and will never come between them because they know that family is important no matter what. Of course there are exceptions to the case, for example when your partner's parents are abusive or something. But always look at your partner and look for compassion and acceptance of your family even if they don’t accept it.
  3. - Change your identity for love. - If your partner asks you, even if it’s with as much love as possible, to change something about yourself, especially if it's something that you feel is part of your identity, don’t change it. If you are a musician and they ask you to leave music. Don’t. If you are an artist, and they ask you to stop being an artist, don’t. If you are asked to change the way you dress, when you have a specific style that you identify yourself with. Don’t. If you are asked to cut your hair, or you leave it long, when your favorite style is different. Don’t. Why? Because if they don’t accept you as you are, then they can’t love you. This is something that happens a lot in young couples because they are still going through stages where they feel unsure of themselves and are too worried what others think of them. You must be genuine, you must keep your identity, do what makes you happy. The partner who truly loves you, will always support you and would want you to be who you really are. And if they don’t support you? And if they don’t agree? Then they don’t love you. As simple as that.
  4. Turning down opportunities of advancement for love. - A person who loves doesn’t want you to get stuck in a life without progress. Many people make the mistake of not following the career they want, of not traveling, to not take the job that will move them forward in life simply because they don’t want to leave their partner. The reality is that a partner who loves you for real, wants to see your progress and will support and seek ways to make the change beneficial for both, and if that’s not possible, they will know to drop the relationship for the sake of them both, even if it means breaking up. True love is not selfish.
  5. -Do something that goes against your morals or makes you lose your dignity - A person who loves you would not ask you to do something that makes you lose your dignity. And if they do and you refuse the person who truly loves you will understand. If they threaten to leave you if you don’t do what they say, then you better let that person go down the same road that they came from, because they don’t love you.
  6. -Allow them to disrespect you- A person who loves doesn’t seek to disrespect the other person. Don’t let anyone hit you or insult you or anything like that. Respect is essential in a relationship. Once people start to loose respect, it is best to break up, because without respect there is no relationship.
  7. Live for the other person - Your life is yours, no one else’s. While it is true that when you have a partner you share moments of your life with them, is very important to never stop living your own life. Never stop doing things that you like for someone you love. Never stop being who you are for anyone. Because in the end you have to live with yourself for the rest of your life. Your partner may not be there in the future. And if you change who you are and years pass and that partner leaves you, you will be lost and not knowing what to do with your life.
  8. -Stay with someone who threatens to leave you or tries to manipulate you - If they say: "You either do what I say or I’m going to leave you" Then do you know what you have to do? Leave them. It’s that simple. Because if a person loves you, they don’t try to manipulate you or threaten to leave you. Because these threats are quite simply manipulative tactics. And someone who manipulates is not loving. Although there are parents who try to manipulate us, and they still love you, but I want you to understand the difference. Because when a parent tries to manipulate you, in that moment they are not showing love towards you. And if you are smart enough to realize this and refuse to be manipulated, your parent will retract and will still love you regardless. Your parents will always love you a partner not necessarily so.
  9. -Accept Infidelity - If you love a person that is unfaithful, then I want you to analyze a few things. Did they slip only this one time, and confessed to you and apologized and swore never to have contact with that person again? Is that person young and unsure of themselves? An infidelity needs a re-evaluation of the relationship. And the reality is that a person who is self-confident, and invested in the relationship, is incapable of being unfaithful. Don’t believe that it is human nature to be unfaithful, because when you really love someone, there is no place for infidelity. And I am not saying that an infidelity should never be forgiven, but if it's something that happens more than once, then you must realize that the person is not giving you the value you deserve and why would you want to be with a person who doesn’t value you enough to be faithful to you?
  10. -Accept to be the other one- This here is the other side of the coin of the infidelity. Don’t accept to be the other one. Because if they can’t be open with you in the relationship, then they are not giving enough value to you and they are probably using you. And why would you want to be with someone who doesn’t value you?
  11. -Stay In a broken relationship because they don’t want to think that they have wasted their time - There are people who think that if they leave their partner after many years of relationship then they wasted their time. But the reality is that one is only wasting their time when they realize that the relationship doesn’t work and they still stay in it as idiots. Time is never wasted when there is a lesson in it.
  12. -Believe that love conquers all - it may be that love can overcome many things, but here in this list there are many things that should not be tolerated. And many times we make the mistake of believing that if there is love, everything is fixable. They think that love can overcome infidelity, abuse, mistreatment, lies, and a little of everything. The problem is that we are mistaken on our idea of what love truly is and false love can’t quite overcome ANYTHING.
  13. -Believe its true love when it’s not-just because you have a strong feelings or an attraction, affection, or whatever, to a person with whom you’ve spent a long time with, that doesn’t make it true love. Many people who spend time together begin to get used to one another, regardless of whether there is physical abuse, verbal abuse, insults, bickering, etc. Analyze your relationship and determine if you are truly happy with the other person without changing them nor changing yourself. If when you try to analyze your relationship, you find that you're trying to convince yourself that "if only this or that thing were different, we would be happy" Then you must realize that such a thing may never happen. We are unable to change another person. We find it quite difficult as it is to change ourselves. If you think that something needs to change so that everything is well, take that as a sign that the relationship is not working.

In a relationship everyone should be free, each person must have their own tastes, their own friends, their own activities, desires, etc. A couple should complement, support, help each other, and not be changed or forget who they are.

Many times we think about the "love" we have for that person because we are fools. In this list there are many things that many of us find it hard to do, or not to do. Why? Because we think we love. Why do I say we think we love? Because true love doesn’t hurt. True love, that’s mature and truly genuine doesn’t hurt, and it’s not the cause of constant fights. No changes are required of you and you don’t need to stop being who you are in order to please that person.

And that's a thing that is very hard to swallow, because when one spends a lot of time with a person, you want to make it work, I say this from experience. You want everything to be right, you want to please them, and when we are constantly fighting with your partner, and they keep asking us to stop doing this or that and we try and try with all our might to do so and make our partner happy with us and accept us and even though we try so hard to please them we are never good enough. What happens in this case is that this relationship is not compatible. And many times we stay in it because we have invested so much time in it, or because we have children, or because we came to believe that we're the ones making the mistakes and we think that if only we could change, that person would love us.

But we are only fooling ourselves.

Keep in mind that for the wrong person, you will never have any worth, but for the right person, you’ll mean everything. Just as you are, without having to change.

Do you think that there are exceptions to this list?

Have you ever found yourself in the middle of one of these situations?

What was the result?

13 Cosas Que No Debes Hacer Por Amor

¿Y si no te apoya? ¿Y si no te acepta? No te quiere. Tan simple como eso.
