What Are You Willing To Lose If You Don’t Change?/¿Qué Estás Dispuesto A Perder Con Tal De No Cambiar?

What Are You Willing To Lose If You Don’t Change?

Are you willing or prepared to lose someone you love just because you choose not to mature, and prefer to stay in the same abyss where that person found you, after they help you get up off the floor and then teach you what love is?
Is it OK to stay with your hands crossed while you watch as your day to day is destroyed by attitudes and bad behavior, which both you and your partner do and don’t stop and things just keep getting worse because when you had the opportunity, you were not interested in doing anything about it, and now you want to do something and it’s too late because now you don’t care to move not even that wind that used to be strong enough to move full valleys just to see that person smile.
Those days when everything was happiness and joy don’t exist now and they seem like just a dream that one day came true, because hell is small compared to what you are living, bitterness and constant fighting is what you get up and go to bed with every day and you prefer to continue with your social and emotional instability not to recover what you are slowly losing.
It is hard to see how it all goes away right before your eyes, because you don’t want to be happy and just want to go living as an unstable person who only wants to believe that you are the one who is always right and those around you are the ones who are wrong.
Life is short and there is no time to lose crying and screaming, longing for those days when your relationship, and your life was wonderful and today all you have is constant fighting and sadness due to attitudes that you have adopted and don’t want change.
Don’t lose the more for the least because the least only plunges you into an abyss, while the more lifts you in the clouds like a free bird with its wings.

¿Qué Estás Dispuesto A Perder Con Tal De No Cambiar?

How To Avoid Stupid Fights With Your Close Friends Or Partner/Como Evitar Peleas Estúpidas Con Tus Amigos Cercanos O Pareja

How To Avoid Stupid Fights With Your Close Friends Or Partner

This article is dedicated to close friends or couples because in both types of relationships there is a greater degree of trust and closeness and a better overall understanding of the personality and characteristics of the other person.

Often the fact that we are in a close relationship with someone we tend to feel more comfortable to say whatever and knowing that the relationship is not going to be destroyed, but often we end up having stupid fights with our loved ones for no reason,
fights that could have been prevented with a few simple steps.

1.       Realize that a discussion is about to happen. - Many times something is said that angers the other one, before the fight explodes realize that the conversation is going in the direction of a fight and so you can pause and re-evaluate the steps you will take next.

2.      Talk about your feelings before getting angry. - Express your feelings about what is happening, without anger. Many times we just have to express our feelings about a situation while the situation is happening so the other person understands and we can avoid a fight.

3.      Do not raise your voice. - When a person raises their voice most certainly this is going to cause the other person to feel attacked and it will backfire, ensuring that a fight breaks out.

4.      Do not accuse without evidence. - Often fights are triggered when a person feels attacked by another. When we decide to accuse a person for something, for sure this person will react badly. Before accusing your friend about something, ask. If you think a person did something that bothered you for some reason you should ask what their true intentions were. Or hint to them and wait for a response. You can say, "I get the impression that you did ... because of this ...." And wait till you see what the other person says.

5.      Do not assume. - This goes the same way as the previous premise. Do not assume you know what the other person is thinking, or what their motives are. Ask questions first.

6.      Do not ignore - If you say something that has been misunderstood and the other person and you are fighting and you are not really in the mood to fight, tell them. It is better to say that you are not in the mood to talk right now than to try to dismiss the person by answering only generic stuff in order to get by, as this will make the other person feel insulted.

7.      Do not take it out on one person what someone else did to you. - For example, if you had a problem at work, or if you had a problem with someone and suddenly your friend or your partner tells you something and you're angry from before, be very careful with what you say. Many times we let our feelings get in places that they don’t belong. It is better to tell our friend / partner that we are feeling grumpy and to wait a while before fully engaging in conversation with them.

8.     Don’t threaten to destroy the relationship.- The threat of the destruction of the relationship every time there is a discussion can be a way of emotional manipulation. If you realize that you are doing it, ask yourself why you are doing it. Perhaps there is a deeper reason than what it appears.

9.      Do not accumulate things. - When you're arguing, do not bring to light things of the past, do not stack things about issues that are not happening in the present moment. This can cause a lot of confusion and resentment. Make sure to speak only about things that are happening at that time and if you realize that there are things from the past that are still bothering you, leave them for another time.

10.  Do not avoid your anger. - If you try to ignore your anger and you constantly swallow your anger, it is quite possible to reach a point where your anger will blow up and then the damage will be much greater than it would have been if we talk about the problems gradually as they happen.

11.   Abuse is never OK. - Under no circumstances should insulting, hitting, screaming, breaking things, throwing doors etc. This is very dangerous and if this happens often, it is imperative that professional help is sought.

12.  Do not engage - If your friend is the one who is trying to argue with you and you don’t want to argue, then when they begin to provoke you, don’t engage them. Be firm and let them know that you're not willing to argue at this time. There are people who like to fight because they feel a temporary sense of power and feel gratification. Avoid being pulled to their need for attention.

13.  Listen to your body. When we are angry, our body releases chemicals that can cause us to react in ways that may be destructive to us, our partners or our relationships. We must learn to understand our feelings and how the process of anger affects us physically and emotionally.

Studies have shown that couples/friendships that argue more than twenty percent of the time will probably will not survive. Hopefully these tips will help you get your arguments under control and reduce the energy level in these discussions. If not, and if you want to keep your relationships/ friendships, then the problem is more serious and you need to find a qualified therapist.

5.      No asumas.

9.      No acumules.

10.  No evites tu coraje.

13.  Escucha a tu cuerpo.
