Does Age Equal Maturity?/¿Acaso La Edad Es Sinónimo De Madurez?

Does Age Equal Maturity?

As human beings we tend to make many mistakes in life, sometimes they are unforgivable and others they are just small mistakes that are easy to fix.

At times we believe that maturity is only lies in the older age of a person, but I regret to say that is not real because people with 13, 15 or a not very elderly are much more mature than any fool who has more than 45 whether man or woman is.

Often some humans upon arrival at a mature age take certain attitudes that are not correct and mature believe that often do not listen tips younger people claiming that they have not lived life.

In my opinion no matter how old you are, maturity can’t be questioned without you seeing the results of that person at a time in which a mature minded person who is emotionally stable to make decisions is needed in a situation that is either with high or no risk.

Let us open our minds and accept opinions of people around us.  We don’t know when we may or may not benefit from a second or third opinion.  We should act maturely and responsibly and not with immaturity and irresponsibility as many of us do.

What do you think? Would you be willing to listen to advice from a person younger than you?

Tell us your story.

¿Acaso La Edad Es Sinónimo De Madurez?

Age Is Just A Number/ La Edad Es Solo Un Número

Age Is Just A Number

They say that age is just a number, what matters is how you feel and I very much agree with that.

But society tends to put certain expectations at each age. We are judged by our age. For if we are too young or too old for this or that. We are judged by how old we decide to have children, or move out of our parents’ house, or how old we are when we decide to get married. It is very common to hear "You still live with your parents?" Or derogatory comments about how old you are when you choose to marry "Aren’t you too young to get married?" or having children "Aren’t you too old to have children?" And we are judged when there is a large age difference with your partner "Is this your father? - No, he’s my husband."
Society judges us and determines what we can and what we can’t do according to our age.

There are even jobs you can’t get at certain ages, unless you get to that age while you are working. It is rare to see a woman in her 30’s or 40’s as a new secretary, or a cook or a cashier in a fast food place, because at that age you are expected to already have a level of career advancement and not be starting a job that is more common among young adults.

This in turn is a disadvantage for women who were devoted to raising their children for many years and when they want to enter the working world it becomes very difficult for them.

Women are more judged than men, since women are expected to be beautiful at all times and there is a degree of pressure to look or act a certain way at each age, and if the woman doesn’t fit within those parameters then she will be judged.
This is why women do not say their age, not because we care, but because we don’t want to be judged.

The truth is that if we focus on how we feel, not how old we are we would be happier. Because the truth is that there are people who are over 40 and feel like they are 20 and some are 30 who feel like they are 50.

Society should stop judging people by their age and simply accept them based on their personal characteristics that determine who they really are.

Celebrate life and thank God for another year of life and forget your age, and act however you feel.

What Do You Think? Should we care about age? Or do you agree that what really matters is how you feel?

- no, mi esposo".
