To Speak Or Not To Speak, That Is The Question

Sometimes keep quiet certain things in order to not hurt someone else’s feelings. And sometimes keeping quiet can cause more harm than telling the truth.

Sometimes we keep quiet out of fear, fear of rejection, fear of being hurt. We are afraid to be vulnerable and tell a certain person we love them, sometimes we are afraid to tell anyone that our relationship cannot continue as it is, because we fear that the other person will suffer because that will cause us feelings of guilt and pain. And here we are again thinking about ourselves and trying to spare ourselves from pain. Keeping quiet can be selfish, because we are only thinking about ourselves while disguised as concern for others.

Although we may think otherwise, keeping quiet is a way of lying. We keep quiet because we think that we will do harm to others, when the reality is that we are hurting ourselves, passively, without even realizing it.

Silence can be the same as giving false hope to a person who thinks they have a chance with someone who does not want the same.

Keeping quiet is the same as harming oneself to stay with a person with whom you know you will not be happy with it for fear of making the other person suffer. Isn’t it stupid, to hurt oneself, sacrificing, forcing yourself to stay with someone just because you don’t want to suffer by feeling guilty? Don’t you see this as a futile attempt to avoid suffering because you suffer more in the long run?

What about when we keep quiet to love? When we don’t tell the person we love that we love them, because we are afraid to get hurt in the face of rejection. So we prefer to never approach that person so that we don’t risk losing them. Does that have any kind of logic? 

Don’t you think that you have more chance of achieving something positive if you only speak the truth? 100% chance of failure by keeping silent versus 50% failure if we speak the truth. What do you choose?

What good is keeping quiet? Is there anything we should actually keep hidden? Yes, there are things we should not say. Any deliberately hurtful thing, any insult, any non-constructive criticism, lies, gossip, surprises, secrets, etc. Those things must be kept quiet.

So the next time you're afraid to talk, please think whether there is any possibility that you will suffer more by keeping quiet than by speaking the truth. If the odds are against you, open your mouth and speak.

Hablar O No Hablar, Esa Es La Pregunta

Hay veces que callamos cosas con el propósito de no herirle los sentimientos a alguien.  Y hay veces que callando hacemos más daño que diciendo la verdad.

Otras veces callamos por miedo, miedo al rechazo, miedo a que nos hagan daño. Nos da miedo ser vulnerables y decirle a cierta persona que la amamos, y otras veces nos da miedo decirle a alguien que nuestra relación no puede seguir como va, porque nos da miedo que la otra persona sufra ya que eso nos causa sentimientos de culpabilidad y dolor. Y aquí nuevamente pensando en nosotros mismos y en evitarnos el mayor dolor posible. El callar es egoísta, porque solo piensa en sí mismo disfrazado de preocupado por los demás.

Aunque pensemos lo contrario, callar es una manera de mentir. Porque callamos las cosas que pensamos que le van a hacer daño al otros, cuando la realidad es que al callar nos estamos haciendo daño a nosotros mismos, de manera pasiva, sin siquiera darnos cuenta.

Callar puede ser lo mismo que darle falsas esperanzas a una persona, que se cree que tiene chance con una persona que no lo quiere igual.

Callar es lo mismo que hacerse daño a uno mismo al quedarse con una persona con la cual sabes que no vas a ser feliz con ella por temor a hacer a la otra persona sufrir. ¿Acaso no es estúpido, el hacerse daño a uno mismo, sacrificándose, forzándose a quedarse con alguien simplemente por no hacer sufrir a otra porque no quieres sentirte culpable? ¿Ven como el intento de evitar sufrir simplemente te causa un mayor sufrimiento a la larga?

¿Y que de cuando callamos a un amor? Cuando no le decimos a esa persona que tanto amamos que la amamos, porque tenemos miedo que nos digan que no y entonces sufrir. Así que preferimos no acercarnos nunca a esa persona por no correr el riesgo de perderla. ¿Acaso eso tiene algún tipo de lógica? ¿No crees que tienes más oportunidad de lograr algo positivo si solo hablas con la verdad? 100% oportunidad de fracaso al callar versus 50% de fracaso al hablar. ¿Cuál escoges?

¿De qué nos sirve callar? ¿Acaso hay algo que debamos callar? Sí, hay cosas que se deben callar. Cualquier cosa hiriente a propósito, cualquier insulto, cualquier crítica no-constructiva, mentiras, chismes, sorpresas, secretos, etc. Esas si nos las debemos callar.

La próxima vez que tengas miedo a hablar, ponte a pensar si existe alguna posibilidad de que sufras más al callar que al decir la verdad. Si las posibilidades están en tu contra, suelta esa boca y habla.

The Lies of the Dealer Major World

The dream of all those who wish to progress around the world, after a certain age, their dream is having a stable job, to buy a car and to find the love of your life.

But often it is only possible to have stable work and rarely find the love your life in a reasonable time.

It is not always possible to buy a vehicle in good physical condition and with a good engine at an affordable price to the majority of people because when we think of a good vehicle we may  think about TOYOTA, FORD, CHEVY among others, and there are several ways to obtain a vehicle with low fuel consumption and other good traits and usually our first thought is to visit a dealer and get the car through them, but there is a problem with that and it is that the Dealers are frequently misleading because they offer deals and rates that could never be fulfilled because it is a TOTAL lie. In my case, a few days ago I was in NYC taking my driving test and I had been thinking for a few months now about visiting the Dealer Major World in the city of Queens because I had heard on their radio commercial that they have more than 3 thousand cars parked for sale and with prices starting at $500.00. When I visit the Dealer I find myself with a surprise, not only did I have to wait more than two hours for them to have the DESIRE and balls to meet with me, but also, nobody had the decency to approach me and ask me if I wanted something to drink (a bottle of water will not make a hole in their pocket), also no one had he delicacy to see if I was good or if I felt bad or anything like that. When someone finally came a man comes and tells me about their services and it was something that I found to be really good, after talking for a bit we asked how much we could receive for my friend’s car, since we were thinking about  giving it in as a deposit for a newer car, and the man told me that we could get about 3 to $4000 something for the car, and we thought that was great since we would have probably ended up buying not only one car, but two, one for my friend and one for me too.

 
To all this I am still under the illusion that I would leave their facilities with a brand new car. A while later we were called to an office by the person in charge of valuing the car and making the arrangements with the bank for the loan, and after seeing the vehicle they tell us that the most that they would give us for my friend’s vehicle is $500.00 something that both me and my friend were completely offended by their offer since they had estimated us previously with more than $3000, so we logically said No.

It is that way that they try to sell you an expensive car with super expensive monthly payments after their radio commercials say you can get a car and only pay $99 a month, a commercial that says that they have cars starting at $500.00 which we later learned that their cheapest cars start at prices that exceed the $4,000.00 dollars, and that in order to get a $99/month car payment you have to put a down payment of over $8,000 and have good credit.

It is my experience that Major World is a company of unscrupulous liars as they try to sell you silver at diamonds prices, something that does not go well with a Dominican like me because I am not going to remain silent with these deceptions and I make them public.

Don’t keep quiet when you experience companies that deceive you like this, with false advertising, show the world that what they say is a complete lie.

Las Mentiras Del Dealer Major World

El sueño de toda persona con deseos de progresar alrededor del mundo, luego de cierta edad es tener un trabajo estable, comprar un vehículo y encontrar el amor de su vida.

Pero en muchas ocasiones solo es posible tener el trabajo estable y en pocas ocasiones encontrar el amor de su vida en un tiempo considerable.

No todo el tiempo es posible poder comprar un vehículo en buen estado físico y con buen motor por un precio accesible a todo público ya que cuando pensamos en un vehículo bueno pensamos en TOYOTA, FORD, CHEVY entre otros, existen varias maneras de poder obtener un vehículo de bajo gasto de combustible y demás y lo primero que pensamos es visitar un Dealer y obtener el vehículo a través de ellos, pero existe un problema y es que los Dealers son un completo engaño ya que ofrecen ofertas y tasas que nunca cumplirán ya que es una mentira TOTAL, en mi caso unos días atrás estuve en la ciudad de NY tomando mi examen de manejo y ya llevaba unos meses pensando visitar el Dealer Major World en la Ciudad de Queens por la oferta que ellos tienen según su comercial de radio  que dicen que tienen más de 3 Mil carros parqueados para la venta y que sus ofertas empiezan en $500.00 cuando visito su Dealer me topo con la sorpresa que tengo que esperar más de dos horas a esperar que ellos tengan las GANAS Y COJONES  de atender me en dicho trayecto nadie fue capaz de acercarse y preguntar me si yo deseaba algo de tomar (una botella de agua no le va hacer un agujero en el bolsillo), tampoco tomaron la delicadeza de ver si estaba bien o me sentía mal, cuando logran atender me viene un señor y me habla de sus servicios algo que encontré súper bien, luego de hablar le pregunto cuanto seria el costo por el cual ellos reciben el vehículo de mi amiga y me da una suma de 3 a 4 mil dólares algo que me encanto ya que no solo compraríamos un carro si No 2 ya que yo quería uno también.

A todo esto me quedo con la ilusión de que saldría en un vehículo propio de sus instalaciones. Rato después nos llama la persona encargada de valorizar y hacer los trámites con el banco para el préstamo y luego de ver el vehículo nos dice que lo máximo que ellos aceptaban por el vehículo de mi amiga es de $500.00 algo que tanto a mi como a mi amiga fue una completa OFENSA a lo que por lógica  respondimos No.

Es de esa manera como ellos intentan venderte un vehículo caro con pagos mensuales súper caros también donde ellos en sus comerciales de radio dicen que puedes pagar $99 mensuales,  donde también dicen que tienen carros de $500.00 donde en verdad los carros más baratos los precios superan los $4,000 dólares, y la única manera de obtener pagos de $99/mes es poniendo un depósito de $8,000 y teniendo buen crédito.  La compañía Major World son unos mentirosos sin escrúpulos ya que lo que intentan es venderte plata a precio de diamantes algo que es un error con un dominicano como yo, ya que no me voy a quedar callado con sus engaños y por eso lo hago público.

No te quedes callado con engaños como esos y denúncialos y muéstrale al mundo que lo que ellos dicen es una completa mentira.

Esta no es toda la historia ya que si la cuento el articulo sería muy largo, pero les exhorto a que cuenten sus historias aquí, ¿acaso han tenido alguna mala experiencia con Major World o con cualquier otro Dealer de Carros como nos pasó a nosotros?

In life there are people who prefer to live a lie. They delude themselves into thinking that what they believe is actually true. Others are more realistic and dare to see the reality of things even when the reality is painful.

However, I don’t mean that if you are realistic that you can’t dream. We are all dreamers and should have dreams, and desire to have a happy life and work to achieve what we want to achieve in life.

I mean people who hide part of their truth just because they don’t want to face the reality of certain things. People who don’t want to know what others think. They do not want to hear the opinions of others. People who don’t want to realize that what they are doing is wrong. People who don’t want to realize that the road is harder on one side, and they will not realize that they are going on the wrong side of the street until they are too far in it and no longer have a way to change their course without some kind of suffering.

 Vives En Un Mundo De Fantasia?

En la vida hay personas que prefieren vivir una mentira. Se engañan a sí mismos para pensar que lo que ellos creen que es la realidad es cierto. Otros son más realistas y se atreven a ver la realidad de las cosas aunque esa realidad sea dolorosa.

Cuidado, no me refiero a que si eres realista no puedes soñar.  Todos debemos soñar.  Ilusionarnos con una vida feliz y de lograr lo que queremos lograr.

Me refiero a las personas que esconden parte de su verdad por no escuchar ciertas cosas. No quieren saber lo que los demás opinan. No quieren escuchar la opinión de los demás. No quieren darse cuenta que lo que están haciendo está mal. No quieren darse cuenta que el camino es más duro por un lado y no se van a dar cuenta hasta que ya estén muy lejos y ya no tengan manera de coger otro camino.
