¿Acaso El Amor Verdadero Sobrevive Una Desgracia?

Today after
seeing the film DeadPool this topic came to my mind about this issue that is
Love. Not what most people call love, but that pure and genuine love that
overcomes all obstacles that come your way.
In the
film, the character that would later become DeadPool found the love of his
life, that person with which all moments are spectacular, one with which you
live your daily life and it is interesting.
But
something happens that turns their world upside down when he discovers he has
terminal cancer and will die. His girlfriend is willing to fight to the end, to
be with him until his last day and not give up, but he thinks the cancer
destroys families and he does not want to make his girlfriend suffer so he
decides to disappear from her life, looking for a cure.
While he
was looking for something to heal him, he found some people who turned him into
a mutant, giving him super powers and supernatural ability to heal, but in
exchange for a completely disfigured body.
To be
healthy, but marred, he did not dare go back to his girlfriend due to fear of
being rejected by his ugliness.
This is
where I want to make my point. Men and women, you must realize something. When
someone loves you, really loves, those who are pure of heart, they want to be
by your side, no matter what disease you have, or how ugly you are.
People
prefer to be with them in illness, suffering, and ugliness, than not to be near
them.
I don’t know
if it's something only men think mostly because it is much more common to hear men
say that they prefer to leave their wives than to let her see him disabled, or
ugly, or sick. But I'm pretty sure that if the thing was the other way around they
would not leave their wife, but would be there with her until the end.
Then I want
you men to realize that if you are willing to be with your wives no matter if
they get sick, become disabled or disfigured, what makes you think they would
not do the same for you?
True love
is always there, and accepts you just as you are, and how you become. It is
changeable, and stable.
What do you
think? Do you think true love stands firm when suffering comes? Or do you think
not?
Have you
ever lived something that would prove or refute this?
Tell us your story.
